Volunteering is about giving your time to a good cause. You don't get paid, but get the chance to use your talents, develop new skills, and experience. You will have a feeling of self-worth which comes from making a difference to other people's lives, as well as your own.

Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you make new friends, expand networks, and increase your social skills.

Anawim recruits, trains and support volunteers that are able to:

  • Deliver and observe group discussions and courses
  • Mentor individual women
  • Help at the centre preparing lunch, chatting to women, sorting out the food and clothes bank and general administration duties
  • Help with form filling, computers, CV writing
  • Accompany women to appointments
  • Help with street and community outreach

Anawim is looking for volunteers and mentors to work in the Centre and with women in the local community. Volunteering/mentoring can be a very rewarding introduction to the work that we do as well as an opportunity to build on knowledge for those with a relevant professional background.
